What did I think?
Ilona Andrews (husband and wife team) is a favorite author of mine. They usually write either straight Urban Fantasy with a love interest/story, or Urban Fantasy Romance. I really enjoy their writing! The world building here is very interesting, I love the science fiction elements of space and different planets coupled with “magical powers” achieved through genetic editing. It is romance, but I find that the plot supports the romance, this isn’t a romance where that is the only plot point, if that makes sense.
